With 30 years of experience in her field, Dr. Angela Rasmussen has combined her creative, artistic ability with her knowledge, skill, and judgement to provide exceptional dentistry. She is known and respected as a trusted and caring cosmetic dentist. She has transformed hundreds of smiles and helped numerous patients experience renewed confidence and self-esteem.
Dr. Angela Rasmussen graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dentistry. She went on to complete a residency in general practice at University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where she held the position of chief resident in her second year. After finishing her residency, she completed a two-year program and received her fellowship in The Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Angela Rasmussen is a member of several professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, the Hillsborough County Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Pankey Institute. Dr. Angela Rasmussen has studied with the masters including the Dawson Institute, the Pride Institute, the Levin Group, and the Branemark Department of prosthodontics in Sweden. Dr. Angela Rasmussen was selected by her peers as one of America's Best Dentists in the 2004/2005 publication 'The Best Dentists in America.'
Dr. Angela Rasmussen is on the Council to the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida. She holds a courtesy faculty position at The University of Florida, School of Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Angela Rasmussen is very involved in the community. She is especially proud of 17 years as a board member of the Hillsborough Education Foundation where she spearheaded Project I Can, a self-esteem program for students in public education. She has been instrumental in raising over 1 million dollars for this cause. She was also crowned Mrs. Florida in 1991.
